Management of the property portfolio is undertaken in-house by a team of real estate professionals providing asset management, development management and capital transaction services.

External investment managers and advisers are used across other asset classes where appropriate.

Kirsty Rourke
Chief Executive Officer

Kirsty is the Chief Executive Officer of CBIC, driving the performance of the organisation, as well as leading its investment activities. With 15 years’ experience in the property industry, Kirsty has expertise in transactions, asset management, development management and debt and equity investments, across both the commercial and residential sectors in Australia. Prior to her role at CBIC, Kirsty was a Senior Associate at Holding Redlich specialising in property law.

Kirsty has board experience in the not for profit sector, including as Deputy Chair of YWCA National Housing and Victorian Housing Boards and a Director of YWCA Australia and YWCA Queensland.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Law (Honours), Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Graduate Diploma of Valuation and Property Development.

Matthew Luchich
Head of Investment Management

Matthew joined CBIC in January 2021 and is responsible for the Investment Management function of the business. Matthew has over 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry, primarily focused on retail and office investment and funds management. Matthew has extensive experience and a strong track record in planning and leading the implementation strategies for a variety of assets. He previously served as the General Manager Investment Management at AMP Capital Investors.

Tom Voysey
Head of Finance

Tom is the Head of Finance at CBIC. Tom has 10 years’ experience in the property industry and has lead finance teams in commercial real estate, property advisory, residential real estate and property development companies. Tom’s role encompasses Financial Reporting, Compliance, Treasury and Corporate Services.

Tom is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and holds a Bachelor of Business Degree.

Jennifer Bond
Governance Manager

Jennifer is the Governance Manager of CBIC.  Jennifer is responsible for leading the governance, risk and compliance functions across CBIC.

Jennifer is a highly regarded governance, risk and compliance practitioner, with a career spanning over 15 years’, with experience in law, governance, risk, business continuity, compliance, auditing and policy development.  Jennifer’s speciality lies in a transformative change to deliver strategic and operational objectives. Jennifer has led clients from the following industry sectors: Energy and Resources, Health, Education and Financial Services. Before her role at CBIC, Jennifer was leading the policy and compliance function at a Higher Education Institution.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Policy Development and a Post Graduate Certificate in Risk Management.

Julia Zhu
Investment Analyst

Julia is the Investment Analyst at CBIC. Julia has over 6 years’ experience in the funds management industry, specialising in portfolio analytics and investment operations. Julia’s role as the Investment Analyst at CBIC is to support the investment decisions, management and analysis of the property portfolio in order to maximise portfolio value.

Julia has degrees in both Accounting and Finance. She is a member of CPA Australia and has completed 2 levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.

Hannah Brown
Transaction Manager

Hannah is a highly regarded real estate professional, who brings enthusiasm and commerciality to her role. She works closely with the Head of Investments on capital transactions and manages the divestment and acquisition of investments within CBIC’s real estate portfolio.

Prior to commencing at CBIC, Hannah worked as a lawyer in private practice specialising in commercial and retail property transactions, management rights and planning and environment. She has previously worked for the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection and Department of Justice and Attorney General. She has a particular interest in projects which deliver strong environmental and community outcomes.

Hannah holds a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.

Melanie Burrows
Corporate Services Manager

Melanie commenced working in the property industry in 2014, following the completion of her business degree at the University of Queensland.

Prior to commencing at CBIC, Melanie held roles as a project coordinator within a residential property development company and as an associate within a commercial property & construction finance company.

Olivia He
Company Accountant

Olivia is the Company Accountant at CBIC. Olivia has over 4 years’ experience in the asset management industry, specialising in financial accounting and analysing. Olivia’s role as the Company Accountant at CBIC is to support the finance team and collaborate with other teams to work on various accounting projects and variance analysis.

Olivia holds a Bachelor of Economics, Master of Accounting and Master of Applied Finance. She is associate member of CPA Australia and has completed 1 level of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.
